One of the things I love the most is travel. Well, of course, by that I mean traveling naked. And if you combine my second biggest love – being in nature – with that, then camping may the perfect solution. Camping Baldarin has given me all the things I love the most and more. Location
Camp Baldarin is located on the very southern end of the Croatian biggest island – Cres. The only way to get there is by ferry. I was going to the Merag in Cres from Valbiska in the island of Krk and ferry ride was about 40 minutes long.
After that, there is still about 1:30 hour car ride to the Punta Križa. And just a few more minutes of ride outside from the village Punta Križa and Camp Baldarin is waiting for you.
As you could guess by now, Camp Baldarin has the perfect location. Away enough from the villages and towns so you could really relax and enjoy in the most wonderful nature and jet close enough if you want to combine the peace in the camp with potter of the city. And when I say nature I really mean that camp is located in the wild and there are even deers in the village that are coming to the camp. They are so used to the people that you can literally feed them from hand.
About the camp
Baldarin is not camp only for nudist. There is also one small part for textile that is located at the very beginning of the campsite, right after the reception. Not sure about exact numbers but I would say that textile takes about 1/3 of the entire camp. 
To be honest, it didn´t really bother me as all I needed was in the nudist area, except market that is just on the other side of the ramp in the textile side. But to me, that also was not the problem as I was literally walking naked all the way to the ramp and then just put on a small summer dress so I could enter the store. Besides from food in the market, you can find all kind of things that can make your life in the camp easier. I was mostly buying wine, beer, and fresh fruit 😀
On the textile part, there is also an ambulance that is working 0-24h so no matter what happens there is always doctor ready to help. And in the same building as an ambulance is massage saloon. I was planning to go but in the end, I was enjoying so much in the naked area that I really didn´t feel like moving.
And of course at the very beginning of the camp itself in the textile area is the reception with a small bar.
In the nudist part of the camp, you can find a restaurant with great fish dishes and a small pizza place where you can take your pizza on the go and enjoy in the sunset with hot pizza and cold beer while sitting on a rock with your feet in the sea.
Accommodation & More
There are several different options for accommodation you can choose from in the camp Baldarin. Depending on your wishes and of course how much comfort you need you can choose to stay in your own tent or mobile home in camping pitches. If you don´t have camping gear or you just love to have more comfort you can choose to rent mobile homes or caravans in the camp or even glamping tents if you want to experience a touch of luxury in nature.
I was staying in my own tent and had the best possible location! On the first row to the sea in a small holt with trees all around the camping pitch. From my place there was one small path leading out to the camps “street” and the other even smaller one leading to the sea. Everything was so close to me, literally just a few steps and at the same time because of the trees, I had so much privacy that I would sometimes forget that I am not alone in the camp.
One more thing I loved so much and is one of the most important things to keep in mind when choosing a camp for a summer vacation in Croatia – shadow! As the camp is located in the forest you will be happy to hear that there is shadow everywhere in Baldarin, and trust me that will make your life so much easier.
There are a lot of sanitary facilities. I had the impression that no matter where in camp you find yourself you need no more than a minute or two walk to the closest one. There are bigger ones that are spacious and luxurious and the small sanitary blocks that are simple but had all you need. I have stayed in more than few camps but never in the one where sanitary facilities were so spotless like in Baldarin.
There are also playgrounds for kids with animators, tennis playground, a place where you can rent kayaks… I was spending most of my time on the beach soaking the sun or in the sea. There are two sandy beaches and between them a kilometer long rocky beach. There is even a small cave you can explore by swimming.
I had an amazing time in camp Baldarin, and already can´t wait to go again!
